Created for Raffles Hotel Singapore, the Raffles Palm Tea Tray features the hotel's 'Traveller's Palm' icon. The spectacular tree was a welcoming sight to travellers of old; water stored in the base of its leaves quenched their thirst, and the East-West orientation of the leaves provided an informal compass to guide them home.
